How to Delete Pinterest Account

If you are no longer interested in using Pinterest, you should consider deleting your account. To delete your Pinterest account, follow the steps outlined below. First, log in to your Pinterest account by going to the official Pinterest website and typing in your email address and password. Once you are logged in, click on your profile picture and select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.

From there, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on “Account Settings.” On the Account Settings page, click the “Deactivate Account” button. Pinterest will then require you to give a reason for your deactivation. Choose the reason that best fits and click “Deactivate Account.”

Keep in mind that deleting your Pinterest account is permanent and cannot be undone. All of your pins, boards, and account information will be lost. If you want to take a break from Pinterest, you can also deactivate your account temporarily.

To deactivate your Pinterest account temporarily, click on your profile picture, select “Settings,” and then click “Deactivate Account.” When you deactivate your account temporarily, your profile and boards will be hidden from other users, but your account information and saved pins will remain intact. You can reactivate your account at any time by logging back in.

In conclusion, deleting your Pinterest account should not be taken lightly. Consider deactivating your account temporarily if you are unsure. However, if you are certain that you want to delete your account permanently, follow the steps outlined above to ensure that it is done correctly.

Step 1: Open Pinterest Website

If you have decided to delete your Pinterest account, the first step is to go to the official Pinterest website. You can type “Pinterest.com” in your web browser’s URL or search engine. Once you are on the Pinterest website, you will need to enter your email address and password to log in to your account.

If you do not remember your email address or password, you can choose the “Forgot password?” option underneath the login form. Pinterest will ask you to enter your email address, and then they will send you a link to reset your password. Once you have reset your password, you can return to the login page and enter your email address and new password.

It is important to remember that you can only delete your Pinterest account by logging in first, so be sure to use the correct email address and password. If you have logged in successfully, you can proceed to step two.

Step 2: Go to Settings

Once you have logged in to your Pinterest account, you need to navigate to your profile picture. It is located at the top right corner of the screen. Once you click on the profile picture, a drop-down menu appears with several options.

From the menu, choose the “Settings” option. This option will take you to the Pinterest account settings page where you can make changes to your account.

If you are unable to find your profile picture, use the search bar to locate it. The search bar is located at the top of the screen, and you can enter “profile picture” to help you find it.

Once you are on the settings page, review all the options available to you. From this page, you can edit your account details, change your email address, and personalize your profile.

If you have any issues with finding the settings option, refer to the Pinterest help center for guidance. They provide detailed information on using the Pinterest website and app.

Remember to save any changes you make so that they are updated on your Pinterest account.

If you still encounter problems, contact the Pinterest customer support team for assistance. They are available to help you resolve any issues with your account.

Step 3: Click “Account Settings”

To delete your Pinterest account, you need to access your account settings. To do this, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Settings” option located at the bottom right corner of your screen. Once you click on “Settings,” a drop-down menu will appear, then click on “Account Settings.”

On the Account Settings page, you can edit your personal information, such as your password, email address, and profile picture. You can also find options to customize your email notification settings and decide who can see your account.

Take note that if you are not logged in, you will need to enter your email and password to access your Pinterest account. If you have forgotten your login credentials, you can reset your password through your email.

At this point, you are halfway through the process of deleting your Pinterest account. It is essential to make sure that you have all necessary information backed up before proceeding with the next step.

Step 4: Click “Deactivate Account”

Now, you have reached the final step to delete your Pinterest account – deactivating it. Go to the Account Settings section, which you can find at the bottom of the Settings page. Once you click on it, you will be redirected to a new page where different options related to your account management are available.

Find the “Deactivate Account” option on the account settings page. It can be located at the bottom of the page, and you will see it as a red button. By clicking on this button, you are indicating that you are ready to remove your account.

Before deactivating your account, Pinterest will ask you some questions about the reason for deactivating your account. The reason behind the deactivation is essential for Pinterest’s own analytics so that they can improve their services.

After answering the questions, click the “Deactivate Account” button, and then your account will be deactivated. Pinterest will also send an email to your registered email address to confirm whether you want to deactivate your account or not.

Note that deactivating your account is not the same as deleting it permanently. Your account will still be visible to others, but you won’t be able to log into it. To delete it permanently, you will have to follow the instructions given by Pinterest, which can also be found on their website.

In case you change your mind about deactivating your account, Pinterest provides a grace period of 14 days to reactivate it. After the grace period, the account is gone permanently, and there’s nothing you can do to retrieve it.

Step 5: Confirm Deactivation

Once you have clicked on the “Deactivate Account” option in the Account Settings page, Pinterest will ask you to confirm your deactivation. You will be prompted to select a reason behind your decision to deactivate your account from Pinterest. Select the most appropriate reason from the list provided and click on “Deactivate Account” to confirm deactivation.

It’s important to note that once you confirm the deactivation process, your Pinterest account will no longer be accessible, and all your pins, boards, and profile information will be deleted permanently. So, before confirming the deactivation, make sure you have downloaded all the important pins and boards that you want to save. Once your account is deactivated, you cannot retrieve the information that was formerly stored on your Pinterest account.

Additionally, if you want to reactivate your Pinterest account after deactivating it, you can visit the Pinterest login page, enter your login details, and click on the “Reactivate Account” link. Once reactivated, you can use your account as you normally did before deactivating it.
